ABOUT TERRI, THE ARTIST
I believe art is the most personal expression in our living space. The creation and enjoyment of art draws out of us positive emotions that are healing and uplifting to our souls.
I am very much inspired by God’s artistry and like to interpret that in new and unexpected ways. An explosion of color plays a key role in my art which is both energizing and calming at the same time. I like to experiment with different application methods that include palette knifes, brushes, sponges, my hands and whatever other tool I may fancy at the moment. As I manipulate colors on canvas in a combination of texture and translucent layers I remain open to where the journey may lead me. When I paint, it is like a journey where I travel to places unseen and explore imaginations that bring me joy. There is a sense of discovery that evolves as shapes, memories or thoughts present themselves and an underlying message begins to emerge. I love that this sense of discovery continues even after a piece is completed and continues to speak to my soul as well as to others who enjoy my work. This is why I paint.

ABOUT TERRI, THE INTERIOR DESIGNER
My Mission is to help you put all the pieces of the puzzle together to create a home in harmony. A home in harmony breeds a life in harmony.
Most of us have no trouble identifying individual items that we like but often get overwhelmed in putting together all the necessary bits and pieces to arrive at a finished room or home that sings in perfect harmony. I am here to rid you of that overwhelm and guide you through the maze. It can be as simple as picking the right synergy of paint colors for your home to the more complex task of putting together all of the elements and making the multitude of decisions needed for a renovation or new construction home. Your home should inspire your soul, give you restoring solace and be a place where life memories are created and cherished. I will help you make that home you have been hoping and dreaming about a reality! Once your home is in order, you will be amazed how the positive energy flows into all areas of your life!
What Clients are Saying
“From start to finish Terri help coordinate and decorate our house. She helped make it comfortable and cozy, as well as beautiful, home our family thoroughly enjoys spending time in.” Renee E.
I graduated with honors from Ringling School of Art & Design in 1980 with a BFA in Interior Design and Space Planning. Three years later I passed the NCIDQ which is a nationally recognized professional competency exam for the Interior Design profession. Since that time I have continued my education with numerous CEU’s in affiliation with professional organizations. Today I continue to take every opportunity to increase my knowledge in special niche interests which are the world of color, window treatments, kitchens, baths, ageing in place and, of course, art.
My career has taken me on many design adventures for the past four decades. Although I started out in commercial design in the area of hospitality and adult living facilities, the last thirty years has largely been focused on residential design. I am heavily experienced in space planning, color and material selections for new construction and renovation projects. Working in furniture stores and design firms has given me a broad knowledge of furniture lines and window treatment design. The cherry on top of all that was working with Lee Fernandez Luxury Homes and together we received two awards from the Tampa Bay Builder’s Parade of Homes. Specifics of my resume can be viewed on my Linkedin profile.
In 2007, I established my own company, TL Design + Associates, Inc. offering full service Interior Design services. I am currently DBA Terri Davis Art & Design which now includes the art side of my business.
Since a very early age I have been highly sensitive to color and the effect it had on me. I always had a fascination with the concentration of color in art and the energy it radiated into a room. I always knew one day I would paint. However, for a long time, it remained mostly in my imaginations. For a period of time, I did paint on any old box or furniture piece I could rummage. It has only been in recent years that I have finally taken the time to focus and dive deeper into the world of fine arts. I have discovered my training as an interior designer combined with my intuitive use of color has facilitated my natural progression to canvas as an artist. Painting is a way for me to explore and share my heart that brings me joy. I am very excited about this new phase of my life and look forward to delving even deeper in the coming years and sharing it with others. I invite you to join the journey.
