It is one of a three part series.
While painting this series the name “Strawberry Fields” came to mind.
Not knowing exactly the meaning of this Beatle song, I looked it up and found out that this was an orphanage near John Lennon as a young boy. He would often escape to the surrounding grounds and discover a secret garden of sorts to escape his not so great home environment. It struck me how appropriate this name was for my paintings as it was a definitive escape for me from all the turmoil in the country at the beginning of the covid pandemic.
